This course is suitable for those who would like to work in a supporting role such as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant.
There are no entry requirements for this qualification but learners need to be at least 16 years old.
One of our experienced Learning Consultants will be partnered with you for the duration of your qualification and they will help guide and support you through your learning. You will submit work online which will be assessed by your Learning Consultant who will give practical and constructive advice. As you work through the qualification you will be able to easily identify how far you have progressed so that you can pace your study accordingly. Your Learning Consultant will always be available by phone or email should you need assistance.
For the Level 3 Certificate your Learning Consultant will make a whole day visit to your school setting to observe you in the workplace. This assessment day will take place towards the end of your qualification and will be carefully planned well in advance.
Yes you will need to be working or volunteering in a school setting. The number of hours you would need within the school would be approximately 3-6 per week.
If you need to find a placement we will provide you with a letter of introduction stating that you are studying for a qualification. You can then either take in or send to your local schools requesting a placement.
Typically this course will take approximately 12 months to complete.
You are able to pay for the course in one payment of £1400 or in 12 monthly repayments of £116.66 via a direct debit arrangement.

This qualification is worth 32 credits.
You could progress to the level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in schools or a foundation teaching degree.
