Management Level 3

The Management Advanced Apprenticeship is aimed at supervisors and first line managers, and is intended for those people who need to maintain and develop the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations for which they are responsible by mean of:

  • Provide learners with the knowledge and skills they need to operate as a successful manager
  • Confirming competence of those already fulfilling a managerial role
  • Allowing learners to develop skills in a range of areas relevant to managerial roles, such as communication, presentation skills and project management.

What does the qualification cover?

This QCF qualification provides learners with a wide range of knowledge and skills needed to work in a management or leadership role. The qualification provides learners with management and leadership skills, such as managing team performance, encouraging innovation and implementing change.

This is a qualification with the following mandatory units:

  • Manage team performance (A/506/1821)
  • Principles of people management (R/506/1937)
  • Principles of business (D/506/1942)
  • Principles of leadership and management (F/506/2596)
  • Manage personal and professional development (T/506/2952)

This qualification also has a number of optional units.

Who is it suitable for?

This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and above. This is a cross-sector qualification. This means that this qualification will be taken by team leaders and managers across a wide variety of areas. Level 3 learners can expect to be working as supervisors or first line managers.

What are the entry requirements?

This qualification is designed for learners who are working, or would like to work, in an entry level managerial role within any sector or industry. It’s ideal for those who are new to the managerial role or who’ve been working at that level for a short period of time. There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 2 qualification.

How is it assessed?

The NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading is a combined knowledge and competence-based qualification.

How long does it take to complete?

Guided Learning Hours are 284-371. Apprenticeships are required to be a minimum of a year and 1 day.

What does it cost?

This is available as an Apprenticeship.
Alternatively: £2500.00 or it can be paid in 12 monthly installments of £216.00.
