If you have a dedicated team of lunchtime controllers, and would like to offer them formal training to help promote children’s play and physical activity in the playground, we have an exciting training programme to offer you and your lunchtime support staff
Our short course offers lunchtime support staff the opportunity to gain crucial knowledge and understanding of the importance of play on children’s learning and development. The course also includes knowledge based on supporting and promoting physical play in schools, which is an important part of a lunchtime controller’s role in the playground. This course will enable your support staff to be more effective and confident in promoting play and physical development, having a greater impact on the children in their care.
The tutor will provide a follow up visit to your school to support lunchtime support staff fully and update information. There will be a combination of knowledge based understanding and practical assessment.
At Reach4Skills, we are dedicated to delivering courses and qualifications to the highest standard to people working with children in all areas of a setting. As part of this course, one of our dedicated and highly trained tutors will liase with the school itself and come out to the setting, providing resources and everything you need to complete the course effectively. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of achievement, and our tutor will provide a follow up session to support staff fully.
What we need from you
As a training provider, we will deliver the course in a professional and effective manner, we will liase with you as much as possible to ensure this at all times. As a school we require an adequate learning space for us to deliver the course to your staff, which will need to include tables and chairs. Alternatively, we can deliver the course from our head office in Wokingham. The course will take 6 hours, but can be split into two sessions if staff are required on lunchtime duty. We would also require all relevant information regarding class size, and details of participants.
