Recruitment Consultant

Job title: Recruitment Consultant
Location: Head Office – Wokingham
Contract type: Full Time – Permanent
Reporting to: Head of Energy Kidz
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £20 – 24k per annum plus commission.

Overview of the role

This is a standalone role working within a busy Training Department with sole responsibility for the delivery of a first-class recruitment service by filling vacancies within target deadlines.  The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for new candidates. You will be fully responsible for ensuring that candidates are managed in a professional and friendly manner, working with employers to secure successful apprenticeship starts.

 

Areas of responsibility

  • Generate apprenticeship leads
  • Maintain a high conversion rate
  • Full accountability for lifecycle recruitment, from advertisement to securing a successful start
  • Responsibility for prompt and accurate advertising and management of all vacancies utilising the National Apprenticeship System and other appropriate channels
  • Ownership of the vacancy and candidate trackers ensuring that they are kept up to date on a daily basis
  • Screening applications, ensuring that they match the basic criteria along with telephone screening in order to establish suitability
  • Day to day liaison with the Training Centre Manager
  • Working with candidates and employers to schedule interviews
  • Communicate with businesses to secure new employer accounts, discussing their training and recruitment needs with the decision makers
  • To work closely with the Sales Team to plan and deliver recruitment events, ensuring maximum attendance levels are obtained
  • Creating regular reports
  • Providing relevant feedback and outcomes to candidates
  • To consistently seek improvements in processes and establishimaginative new ways of promoting and advertising vacancies
  • Any other tasks that arise from this variable and adapting business that may be required to meet the needs of the industry

 

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communications skills consistently paying attention to detail
  • A proven track record of working within a pressurised and target driven role/environment
  • Previous experience within a ‘Business to Business’ Sales or Recruitment environment
  • Able to work without supervision, utilising initiative and good judgment
  • Adaptable with the ability and desire to learn quickly
  • An effective team member who remains accountable at all times ensuring a customer focus is always maintained as a priority
  • Excellent numerical skills with the ability to produce regular reports, analyse the outcomes and provide commentary and recommendations as a result
  • A genuine desire to deliver proactive continuous improvements within a role and personally
  • Excellent interpersonal skills being consistently approachable with the ability to quickly build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders
  • Knowledge of employment legislation relevant to recruitment and apprenticeship processes
  • Previous track record of successful delivery within a recruitment role
  • Solid IT skills within standard Microsoft software with the ability to use other online tools and applications
  • Promotion of business to the wider community, including attending or organising attendance at local events, and ensuring the business is always represented in a positive way.

Childcare Assessor

Job title: Childcare Assessor
Location: Berkshire/Hampshire
Contract type: Full Time – Permanent
Reporting to: Training Centre Manager
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £18,000-23,500pa DOE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Childcare Assessor to deliver creative and inspiring sessions to our apprentices throughout their Childcare, Management and Team Leading Courses.

You will be responsible for delivering full apprenticeship frameworks and standards, including Functional Skills up to level 2, using a variety of teaching methods.

Main Duties

  • Teach, Train, Coach, Assess and Support learners throughout their learner journey
  • Use various teaching methods to promote inclusive learning for all.
  • Manage learner records and track progress throughout their course.
  • Facilitate the use of E-Learning Portfolio’s whilst assisting the learner
  • Ensure that learners records are accurately and promptly maintained
  • Manage apprentice enrolment and induction, including initial assessments
  • Work with the internal quality advisor and action any recommendations/amendments as needed
  • Work with learners to identify learning styles and adapt support to suit these needs
  • Prepare resources and teaching materials to meet the learners learning style
  • Complete all paperwork within timescales agreed, including Weekly and Monthly reports
  • Meet KPI’s in place to measure the effectiveness of our delivery and standards
  • Ensure all Safeguarding Policy and Practices are adhered to
  • Promote Equality & Diversity, British Values and Prevent strategies
  • Keep up to date with developments within teaching practices assessing best practice
  • Record and complete regular CPD activities that show development in own practice
  • Attend monthly standardisation meetings and share good practice
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the Apprenticeship reforms, including the Levy and transitions from frameworks to standards

  • Occupational competence in various areas including, Childcare/ Business Admin/Customer Service/Team Leading/Management/ Retail/Hospitality/Sales/Recruitment

Business Development Consultant

Job title: Business Development Consultant

Overview of the role

This is a key role in driving and delivering our ambitious growth plans. You will need to be proactive in engaging new business as well as maintaining high quality service levels with existing employers by networking and building business relationships.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Identify, engage, develop and on-board new business through a variety of business development approaches, including; calls, meetings, presentations, events and networking
  • Develop and maintain existing relationships to maximise all opportunities to offer apprenticeship and commercial training opportunities.
  • Produce, organise and deliver targeted direct mail and email campaigns to generate leads
  • Deliver advice and support to employers about the Apprenticeship rules and funding
  • Promote the benefits of recruiting Apprentices and handle objections where necessary
  • Work to monthly recruitment targets / KPI’s based on Apprenticeship starts
  • Report sales data and forecasts on a regular basis and meet month end sales deadlines
  • Monitor competitors to ensure we are remaining competitive and scoping out new opportunities
  • Work with senior management in order to meet your target and growth plan
  • Maintaining own knowledge of policy changes, funding changes and relevant business expectations
  • Maintain and build relationships with outside agencies, Jobcentre Plus, Schools, Colleges and Connexions and attend job fairs / school visits when required

Essential Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar role for a training organisation – securing apprenticeships starts
  • Proven employer engagement, generating vacancies and placement opportunities for apprentices
  • Strong experience of working within a Business to Business field sales environment – networking with businesses on a regular basis to secure new clients
  • Exceptional sales, marketing and networking skills
  • Experience of developing relationships, influencing and negotiating with employers to secure new business
  • Proven experience of negotiating, winning and closing new business
  • Proven experience of working towards and achieving targets
